HIPPIE PICASSO >>>

Be.Lanuit gathers friends for exquisite downtempo lounge on ‘Hippie Picasso’.
The Spanish producer elevates a loungy piano groove with Melon Jimenez’ crisp flamenco guitar. Kasper Tranberg’s trumpet drifts in like vapor on the evening breeze and everything is adorned with silky vocal ribbons by Amaru. The new track comes as the second single from Be.Lanuit’s forthcoming album, set for release this fall.

Circulo >>>

Be.Lanuit’s new track ‘Circulo’ is a dreamlike journey from the Andes to Ibiza. Dubby downtempo adorned with glimmering currents of flute from the legendary Peruvian multi-instrumentalist Tupac Peralta. A nasty synth-lead to bring it home. The track features Danish producers WALTHER & OliO as well.

El Malagueño >>>

Soul nurturing chill-out from Be.Lanuit and DJ Pippi on new track. The new single ‘El Malagueño’ sees the Spanish producer joined by Balearic master DJ Pippi on his balmy cruise into the summer months. The pair find a solid ground in amicable guitar chords, serpentine flute and synths floating serenely in the background. A sure winner for the warm days ahead. créditos.

Be.Lanuit – Entre Dos Islas EP
NuNorthern Soul • NUNS047D

Towering 400 metres above the sea just off the South West coast of Ibiza, Es Vedra rock has long been regarded as a mysterious and magical structure – one whose inherent magnetism is allegedly capable of moving objects and disrupting compasses.

It’s perhaps fitting that a spellbinding painting of the mystical natural structure – the latest in her contribution to NuNorthern Soul’s Myths of Ibiza series – stares out from the cover of Be.Lanuit’s Entres Dos Islas EP, because it’s a collection of cuts that effortlessly harnesses the magic and mystery of one of the Balearic Isles’ most wonderous natural treasures.

Be.Lanuit may or may not have been inspired by Es Vedra, but he’s spent enough time on the White Isle over the last three decades to be intimately equated with the towering landmark. Based on the island, he has DJ’d at many infamous Ibizan spots – La Torre and Casa Maca included – while his productions have appeared on Sol Selectas, Sonar Kollevtiv, Soundway Records and Music For Dreams. He has a track record of crafting evocative, atmospheric and aurally vivid tracks that tap into classic Balearic tropes while providing a fresh spin on the colourful, sun-soaked sound.

Entres Dos Islas, his NuNorthern Soul debut, presents four slabs of sonic magnetism tailor-made for slow, simmering sunsets and breath-taking sunrises. He sets the tone with title track ‘Entres Dos Islas (Atlanteo)’, where mesmerising, delay-laden flute solos from guest musician Tupac Perlata seemingly float on a gentle breeze above the producer’s hypnotic analogue bassline, slow-motion beats, tactile chords and undulating lead lines. It’s the aural equivalent of watching mist clear to reveal the peak of Es Vedra.

‘Crepusculo En Sa Talaia’, the track that follows, leaves a similar sonic impression, with Be.Lanuit layering slow harp strums, kaleidoscopic chords and twinkling, effects-laden piano motifs above a deep bassline and shuffling, slow motion beats. Listen attentively enough and you may hear waves lapping at the craggy cliffs of Ibiza’s most celebrated rock.

The EP shifts up a gear on ‘Nana A Leon’, where Spanish language spoken word vocals from guest Marcos De La Fuentes help usher in a bubbly Latin beat, sumptuous strings, starry synthesizer sounds, yearning pianos and a distinctive guitar motif. By the time a sampled classical vocal appears in the mix – think Orbital’s ‘Belfast’ or the Beloved’s ‘The Sun Rising’ – you’ll be transported to a magical place. If you were looking for a neat aural definition of Balearic music, it would undoubtedly be this.

To close out a wonderful EP, Be.Lanuit strides confidently towards ‘Valle Del Sur’, a breath-taking piece of sonic sorcery that – in the producer’s trademark style – builds majestically towards an awe-inspiring conclusion. Following another twinkling, star-gazing introduction, our hero teases in synthesized double bass, a samba-soaked rhythm and more echoing piano motifs. Throw in more vivid, vibrant chords and uplifting lead lines, and you have another terrifically picturesque soundscape on an EP full to bursting with sharply defined, life-enriching moments.

1. Namibian Scents 07:08
2. Hixa Mía 05:07
3. Nebulosa 11:15

On this EP he has worked hand in hand with two Spanish artists and a Mediterranean folklore and jazz band.

Namibian Scents is a production made with the talented Jorge Quesada (Bjorkey), composer, pianist and leader of the band Ombra. It is inspired by the sound of traditional music from Namibia. Jorge composed, sang and played the pianos and rhythms.
Synths and production was made under the vision of Be.lanuit inspired by his home base, Eivissa, where the connection with ancestral cultures who lived there merge with the future.

Hixa Mia is a traditional Sephardic folk song included on Posidonian Poetry, Ombra’s first album. Ombra is the project of Jorge Quesada who works with a big community of musicians from different countries of the Mediterranean Sea who have a knowledge on jazz and folklore music. Jorge sent Be.lanuit the stems with all the instruments (double bass, sax, piano, drums and percussion) and he re-touched the song taking it to another dimension.

Nebulosa was composed and produced by Be.lanuit. The original idea was for the track to be instrumental, but then he met Inana and they clicked immediately. After the first listen to the track, Inana composed the lyrics and the vocal melody.

Afroterraneo brings back some warm summer vibes to our lives with this great new release from Be.lanuit (Music For Dreams / Sol Selectas, with remixes by Sifa (Kompakt/ Depht / Offering Recordings) and Zuma Dionys (Sol Selectas/Pipe & Pochet).

Santë Re Union is a delightfully warm and good time groove with chanting vocals by Seydina Mboup from Senegal, percussions from Syria by Omar Kattan and afro vibes that are superbly authentic. It will bring worldly goodness to any party. Santë Re Union (Sifa Remix) is more deep and club ready, with house drums powering along the spritely synths and soft acid lines. Santë Re Union (Sifa’s Ritual Expression) is a delightful acoustic vibe with percussion front and centre. The stringy toms, shakers and more, all sink you into a nice jungle vibe with humid synths and bird calls. Santë Re Union (Zuma Dionys Remix) is a more plodding groove, with rich pads and nice rubbery bass making you cut loose.

This is another fantastic EP from all involved.
